Tarheels lose out in Annapolis try-fest
Fall Break Tour
Thursday, October 16th, 2008
Annapolis, MD — Missing most of the A sides forwards due to injury and late withdrawl, the Tarheels played really well in Annapolis but lose out to Severn River in an 83 point spectacular.
With 6 of the 7 tries coming from the backs, a 5 point loss to a Men's D2 side is not the end of the world.
After enjoying the sights and sounds of the Chesapeake Bay, the team will travel to New York to play NYAC's B side on Saturday. They were due to play Columbia University but this was cancelled at the last minute and we are very grateful to NYAC stepping in at late notice.
Saturday's game will be a huge ask of the touring Tarheel's, the New York Athletic Club are the reigning Super-league champions and therefore the best club in the country.
