UNCRFC Celebrating Alumni Weekend April 9-10

UNCRFC's 2010 Alumni Weekend will officially commence with a 7s tournament beginning at 7:00 PM Friday, April 9, on Eringhaus Field. The tourney will consist of 13 games between 9 teams, including two UNC teams, one UNC Alumni team, and teams from Wake Forest, Duke, and UNC-Pembroke.

The official Alumni Game will commence at noon on April 10, again on Eringhaus, and will be played in three 30 minute thirds to maximize opportunities for alumni and current players alike to lock horns.

The Alumni Banquet will be held, as it has been traditionally, at He's Not Here. It will be held in conjunction with the UNC Women's team and will be catered by Gordon's BBQ of Apex. In addition to speeches, alumni awards, and the transfer of the highly coveted Mediocrity Award from Derek Yates to a somewhat deserving UNCRFC player, UNCRFC's new President will be announced from among the candidates Alex Lee, Daniel Van Niekerk, Evan Rose, and Jacob Rierson.

All current players and alumni are welcome to this celebration of the storied history of UNCRFC.
